First R&D Project of Wuhan Future Science and Technology Town Completed

On December 18, the first R&D project of Huazhong University of Science and Technology Carbon Capture Platform Testing Base is completed at Wuhan Future Science and Technology Town and in operation. President of Huazhong University of Science and Technology Li Peigen, Member of Municipal Standing Committee and Secretary of East Lake High-tech Development Zone Party Working Committee Jia Yaobin, and Deputy Director of Department of International Cooperation of Ministry of Science and Technology Ma Linying attend the completion ceremony and visit the base.

 

Carbon Capture Platform Testing Base is co-funded by National Energy Administration, Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Sichuan Air Separation Group Co., Ltd. and Huazhong University of Science and Technology, covering an area of 3200 square meters. At the end of February this year, it is settled at Wuhan Future Science and Technology Town

 

America and China attach great importance to this project of Carbon Capture Platform Testing Base, and it will become a joint research platform for Sino-US universities, national laboratories, and well-known enterprises. Its completion will lead carbon reduction technology research and development of domestic power industry, build a good platform for the revitalization of Hubei energy equipment industry, and promote sustainable development of new energy industry and scientific and technological progress and upgrading of energy equipment in Hubei, as well as the application and development of energy carbon emission reduction in China.
